Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering has 23 full-time faculty members, which includes 19 (teaching-based) professors with expertise in frontier materials, green processes and biotechnology and 4 staff members (one secretary and 3 technicians). In the last 20 years, Prof. Dr. Shingjiang Jessie Lue has established solid expertise in nanocomposites, polymeric thin films and membranes for fuel cells. In the past experience she and her group constructed different acid and alkaline fuel cells and obtain the highest cell performance that has been published in literature data.
